For years I participated in a group blog over at Routines for Writers, but the time has come to venture out on my own. Now, I have to remember how to do all the technical behind-the-scenes STUFF to set up a website. Like:
- domain name
- hosting
- all the new passwords, and oops, watch the username–you can’t change it! (But you can add another if you mess up.)
- theme–there are so many!!! What to choose, what to choose?
- custom header–okay, keep it simple. Got this.
- RSS feed–why is there a random vertical line in my feed?!? A line? Really? Why won’t it go away?
- And my menu bar….where is it? I have pages. Where are the pages?
Well, if you’ve stumbled across my website during this awkward time, welcome! Hope you visit often as I get things rolling for real, real soon.
It looks like you are off to a great start with your web page. Most people cannot do this. I applause your achievement. From time to time i hope to take a peek at what you are up to.
Mike’s Lunch Ticket,
