A2Z-BADGE 2016-smaller_zpslstazvibFor two years I’ve accepted the A to Z challenge, and it’s been a lot of fun. It’s a great time to push yourself to blog every day. It’s also interesting to see what other bloggers are talking about.

The first year I found out about the challenge days before it started, and I jumped right in. I came up with all kinds of random blogs to fit the alphabet. That year I learned that a lot of people choose a theme to help guide their blogs.

The second year I chose the 1940s as my theme. That year I learned that a lot of people post a tab with their A to Z posts (see my top menu), and I learned that a lot of people write their blogs in advance so they have time to visit other blogs. (Part of the challenge is to visit and comment on at least 5 other blogs a day.)

So, this year, I’ve got a theme: Life in the late 1800s which goes along with my new book release in October (Spindle, a Sleeping Beauty retelling set in a mill town during the American Industrial Revolution). AND, I’m trying to get those posts written early so my April won’t be as hectic, and I can enjoy visiting other blogs.
